How to get to Corsica

The most practical way to reach Corsica is by sea: there are numerous and frequent connections with ferry boats from Italy, Spain and France, and today almost all companies offer special tariffs for various travel solutions: seats or cabin at very low prices, and sometimes some tailor-made travel packages based on the number of passengers, the vehicle, the accommodation chosen, the date and hour of departure.

However, it is always recommended to book in advance as offers are restricted to a certain number of places and you risk to pay the full price, which during high season, especially if you travel with your own car and choose to stay in a cabin, can be very expensive. To find the most suitable option for your exigencies, you should compare at least two or three companies, consulting their website or asking a travel agency to take care of this.

Corsica is regularly connected by sea to France, with ferry boats calling at the ports of Marseille, Nice and Toulon, while Italy is connected from Livorno, Porto Torres and Santa Teresa. Connections from the ports of Savona, Genoa and Civitavecchia are less frequent or operating only in summer.
